The aim of this report is to give a concise picture of the development of the Portuguese market for various types of construction equipment and agricultural tractors from 2013 to 2017, with forecasts to 2022. It updates a study last published in the European Service in 2009.
It is based on field research conducted in Portugal, including interviews with all major suppliers. ACAP is the trade association of the motor industry in Portugal and most construction equipment importers are members who contribute to data exchanges. Its coverage now extends to road making equipment and even hydraulic hammers. Data from the construction sector in this report comes from FEPICOP, the Portuguese Federation for the Construction and Public Works industry.
In magazines which can be used for construction equipment marketing, Portugal has the Boletim de Informações, which carries details of all tenders, and the AECOPS publication Jornal do Construção. Many readers in the construction equipment industry prefer to rely on the two Spanish publications, Potencia and Rocas y Minerales. The largest farming magazine is Abolsamia.
