This report examines the market for self-propelled compaction equipment in India, and is an update of the study last published by Off-Highway Research in April 2014. It does not cover the markets for small handheld rammers, plate compactors or walk-behind rollers, but only the market for ride on, self-propelled compaction equipment. The report assesses the current trends in the market, examines the operations of the main suppliers, and forecasts likely developments over the next five years. The period under review is from 2011 to 2015, with a forecast offered for the period 2016-2020.
There are some small manufacturers of compaction equipment (mainly static rollers), which produce machines once an order has been received. The estimated sales and production of such manufacturers have been included as “others” in the relevant tables.
The findings in this report are based on Off-Highway Research’s database and information collected during an interview programme undertaken in January and February 2016, which included all the leading manufacturers and suppliers.
