The objective of this study is to present a concise overview of the market development of various types of construction equipment and agricultural tractors in Denmark since the publication of Off-Highway Research’s previous report in November 2012, assessing the major trends which have taken place since then, and those which are likely to occur by 2020.
The findings in this study are based upon Off-Highway Research’s own database, and on information collected during an extensive interview programme in Denmark undertaken during August and September 2016, which included all leading manufacturers, importers and the trade association.
There is a formal exchange of sales statistics between the importers of construction equipment, which is organised by the local trade association, Maskinleverandorerne. However, some importers do not subscribe to the exchange, and so makes it incomplete.
Maskinleverandorerne, the new name for BLEM (Brancheforeningen for Leverandorer af Entreprenor Material) and its sister organisation LIB (Landbrugsmaskin Importerernes Brancheforening af 1919) which represents the interests of importers of agricultural equipment.
