Liebherr is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction machinery and is an independent family-owned business enterprise that is now managed jointly by members of the second and third generations. The Group’s holding company Liebherr-International AG, based in Bulle, Switzerland, is wholly owned by members of the Liebherr family. This report analyses the construction equipment operations of the Liebherr Group in Europe.
Today Liebherr employs over 41,000 people in some 130 companies across the world and offers one of the most diverse ranges of construction equipment available from a single manufacturer. For the construction sector and the mining industry, the Group develops, produces and distributes worldwide construction cranes, mobile cranes, crawler cranes, hydraulic excavators, material handlers, wheeled loaders, crawler loaders and dozers, mining trucks and concrete mixing plants as well as truck mixers. In 2014 approximately 60 per cent of its revenues came from construction equipment.
