This report is an update of the Company Profile published by Off-Highway Research in August 2012. It analyses primarily the activities and developments within Wacker Neuson’s Compact Equipment division with a focus on the mini excavator production company, Wacker Neuson Linz GmbH, based in Hörsching, Austria and the wheeled loader manufacturing company, Kramer-Werke GmbH, based in Pfullendorf, Germany.
The Wacker Neuson Group is a leading manufacturer of light and compact construction equipment with over 50 affiliates and more than 140 sales and service centres across the globe. It is headquartered in Munich, Germany at a modern purpose-built campus, which was opened in 2011.
The company’s roots date back to 1848, although Wacker Neuson as it operates today was created through the merger in 2007 of Wacker Construction Equipment AG and Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen AG. Weidemann GmbH was previously acquired by Wacker Construction Equipment AG in 2005, while Kramer-Werke GmbH was acquired by Neuson Baumaschinen GmbH in 2001.
