Volvo Group India Private Ltd (Volvo India) formerly Volvo India Private Limited, a company that is based in Bengaluru and is best known in the country for its production and supply of construction equipment, luxury buses and heavy trucks. The company is a part of the Volvo Group, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of AB Volvo, Sweden. The Volvo Group has over 100,000 employees with production facilities in 18 countries and a presence in over 190 countries.
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is one of the world’s leading companies in its sector, with production and distribution facilities in Europe, Asia, North and South America. It has traditionally been particularly strong in Western Europe and North America, and is now reinforcing its operations in Asia, South America and Eastern Europe. Volvo CE is the second largest business area after trucks in the Volvo Group, and also encompasses the rental and used equipment businesses.
Over the last 20 years, the company has added a wide range of products to its portfolio, and has extended its operations in many countries, including India. Volvo is now a major supplier of hydraulic excavators, wheeled loaders, articulated dump trucks, motor graders, road machinery and compact equipment.
